Other Educational Streams:
Registered Yoga Teacher with a specialty in therapeutics (RYT 500): Students complete most modules – except for hours allocated for CYT800 track. Students will be notified of these specific hours in advance. Competes coursework specifically aimed at RYT 500. Instead of the full practicum the students will be required to only do a 40 hour practicum. These 40 hours must include 10 hours as lead instructor in a small group format guiding students in classes with a therapeutic element.
Prerequisites:
• Must have been practicing yoga for 5 or more years.
• Modified application must be filled out.
• Must complete interview with program director.
SEYT stand alone courses/modules: Various courses throughout the program will be open to the public. In addition, each module becomes open to the public when space is available. Each hour of these courses and/or modules can be counted towards Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits with Yoga Alliance.
Prerequisites:
• Must have experience working in health or wellness.
• Must have 1 year practicing yoga.
• Modified application must be filled out.
• Must complete interview with program director.
